Entrance Requirements
ACE Surgical Assisting does not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, or disability. Operating Room Nurses must also meet following requirements:
You must have a license to practice in the state where you will be doing your clinical internship, two (2) years of documented recent experience in the Operating Room (OR), and scrub proficiency.
Others who may qualify for the surgeon assistant program include Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Surgical Techs, Medical Doctors (foreign and domestic), and Osteopathic Doctors.
ACE Enrollment Process
To enroll in the ACE Surgical Assistant Program, Operating Room Nurses must provide:
- Proof of graduation from their nursing program and their license from the state they'll be getting their clinical experience in
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from qualified surgeons
- Documentation of OR experience and scrub proficiency from their place of employment (or this documentation can be included in the above-mentioned surgeon recommendation letters)
- ACE First Assisting must have received a signed enrollment agreement with down payment or payment in full
OR Nurses may enroll anytime and will start their 1st online module at the beginning of the month following the enrollment date.
