How ACE Surgical Assisting School Training Stacks Up
ACE Surgical Assistant training program was designed with working professionals in mind. Our surgical first assist program and policies reflect that focus on the needs of our students. We strive to provide the best possible education while maintaining flexibility, accountability, and standards of excellence including:
-
No Bait and Switch - We dont include any feature in our program that isnt essential for student success. When you call ACE, we wont lie or negotiate
you down. - REAL Simulation Training - Provide extensive simulation training as preclinical preparation so students can perform skillfully on vulnerable patients in the presence of judgmental surgeons.
- Semester Credits - ACE became a vocational school so we could award our students the number of semester credits rightfully earned without regard for the cost of the credit. In our case, the state authorized 52 credits because the program was so comprehensive.
- Location of Classes - We present most of our classes in or near major cities to encourage enrollment. If you ever see us advertise a 'rural' location, it is because we would be presenting the class in a hospital at their invitation.
-
Accredited - We created a program that builds on and then exceeds accreditation standards. We are 100% committed to accreditation but our
most prominent program feature will always be quality of training and success of our students. - Focused on Helping You - The main reason the ACE Surgical Assistant Program was created is so students would be able to accomplish what they most desire - have their dream job in surgery with independence and a 6-figure income.
- Give You The Facts to Make Your Decision - We tell you about the benefits of our program without disparaging other programs. We even help you find another program if ours wont work for you.

In tough economic times, employee training is often considered an expensive luxury item and is often the first to be cut from the budget. Robert Rodriguez, PhD, makes a convincing case for individuals to upgrade their status with training during a down economy and for employers to continue providing training all the more so when economic times are tough. The benefits are great, so be sure to read Why is Education Important In Tough Economic Times? if you have any questions in the back of your mind about whether or not taking a Surgical Assistant Program at this time is a financially sound idea.
Simulation training in the medical field is hot. Animal and cadaver training is becoming obsolete. The newest training techniques are based on theories about how motor skills are acquired and expertise is attained. Instead of training on animals or cadavers, training on simulation models better prepares you for operating room experiences. Read Teaching Surgical Skills - Changes in the Wind to find out why.
