Change Lives and Transform the World with Improved Surgical Care!

- By Dan Bump, President, CEO ACE Surgical Assisting, Inc.

“ACE changes lives one patient at a time with effective, surgeon-level training in the field of surgical assisting. This unique ACE brand of training elevates the quality and safety of care in surgery. With an army of ACE Trained Assistants, we’ll transform the world.”

What are the results of increasing the level of skill in surgery? Improved patient outcomes and fewer surgical mistakes. The first assistant is the only team member who gets as close to the action as the surgeon does – close enough to do the patient harm or accomplish great good.

ACE training makes a difference.

According to WebMD an estimated 4,044 surgical mistakes happen every year in the United States and they admit this is probably a huge underestimate. Imagine the world-wide numbers! Our first assistant training changes lives one patient at a time. If we can train enough assistants, we’ll eventually reach a tipping point where lives are changed on such a massive scale that we transform the world.

One busy RNFA will contribute to an improved level of surgical care for around a 1,000 patients a year. That’s 10,000 patients over a ten year period! What a dramatic impact in the world.

Now consider what happens if we just train 100 assistants a year. They will impact over 1 million patients in a 10 year period. 10 years of training has a 10 million patient impact. That sounds great but in a world with a population of over 7.4 billion, we are going to have to train a lot more to reach a tipping point.

Life Changing For Patients

An ACE Trained Assistant is very different from a glorified retractor holder or even someone who can close wounds. He or she escalates the skills and knowledge applied to patient care in 2 ways. First, the patient enjoys improved surgical outcomes. Second, this kind of assistant has the wherewithal to avoid her own surgical mistakes and to effectively help the surgeon avoid mistakes. That’s not just life-changing, it’s life-saving.

Life Changing For Assistants

ACE training improves the outlook on life for RNFAs and gives them a greater sense of purpose. They love surgery and they are the only ones on the entire team to get as close to the surgical action as the surgeon. They enjoy greater challenge, responsibility, and opportunity to earn the respect and trust of the surgeon. Finally, the RNFA is uniquely positioned to earn a life-changing income. Many earn mid 6-figure incomes.

Life Changing For Surgeons

When an ACE assistant prevents a surgical mistake, she saves her surgeon the heartbreak of unintentionally harming the patient and any resulting lawsuit. The surgeon enjoys the procedure more because he knows the assistant has his back. He doesn’t have to keep such a close eye on his trusted ACE Trained Assistant and that allows him to focus more intensely on the procedure without distraction, assuring a safe and successful surgery.

This speeds things up in a safe way and more surgeries can be scheduled in a day. By the way, surgeons won’t have to first assist each other and that changes everything. It frees up precious time. More time for patients; more time for practice-building; and more time for family.

ACE training impacts the lives of everyone it touches. Patients, ACE Trained Assistants, surgeons, and the families of everyone involved. It’s not hard to see how the quality of training we deliver coupled with enrolling large numbers of students will have a transforming effect on the world. Let us know if you’d like to be part of it.
