IDEAL TRAINING FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS FOR THE OPERATING ROOM
Physician Assistants, when it comes to Surgical Assisting, typically fall into two categories. Those who just need training to help them transition into the operating room, and those who need additional education, along with the training, to get them to a point where they can qualify for a national certification as a first assistant in surgery.
ACE offers two distinct training and education options to meet the specific needs of both of these categories of Physician Assistants.
THE ACE 6-DAY SURGICAL SKILL LAB – STAND ALONE
(Learn the same skills that a second surgeon would bring to the table)
Fully meets the needs of the PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS looking to transition to the Operating Room by learning all the Surgical Skills that Top Surgeons would expect of their FIRST ASSISTANT.
This Surgical Assisting BOOT CAMP delivers 154 surgical skills with 2 full days of suture and tying and 4 full days of simulated surgeries on the ACE Surgical Simulators.
THE ACE 6-DAY SURGICAL SKILL LAB
WITH ADDITIONAL – ABBREVIATED ONLINE AND CLINICAL CASEWORK
(Learn the same skills that a second surgeon would bring to the table plus some online and clinical cases to fill your surgical gaps from your previous education.)
With this option PA’s get to take full advantage of the BOOT CAMP experience described above, but will also benefit from the following additional education:
2 Online Modules

Upon Completion of this program students are eligible to sit for the National First Assisting Certification with the American Board of Surgical Assistants.
